Many thanks to all those who participated in our deaf-blind summer events. It’s great to see so many new faces in our growing DB community. And special thanks to all the volunteers who made these events possible. You folks may not realize what a huge difference you really do make. Without volunteer support, these social opportunities for the deaf-blind wouldn’t exist.
As our DB community grows, it’s necessary for our volunteer force to grow, also. Please share our event announcements with anyone who might be interested in helping out.
The next DB event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 18th in West Chester and will be our annual Tactile Carnival and Support Outreach event. We’ll need volunteer SSPs and booth operators, so please save the date!
Again, my sincere thanks to all the wonderful people who helped out this summer. You ARE very much appreciated.
